Finally, vacation!
Any plans? A long journey on a plane? Adventure through Europe? Or perhaps relaxing in your own yard?
Camping out is running through our veins. As little girls we enjoyed ourselves laying in our swimsuits behind the wind shelter our dad made himself while listening to Graceland on an early walkman we shared.
Lotte had the privilege to celebrate her birthday while being on vacation. So we decorated the tent, were treated with cake and sometimes a visit from our grandparents to this campsite.

Our paper crystals are perfect for decorating the tent! Or wind shelter, tarp, hammock, beachshelter or lounge chair.
We made you an example and tested how to fold them in an open field. All you need to add to your tools is something sturdy like a cutting board to trace and score on. Everything else can be done perfectly under the sun.

Have a look at our manual: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DD7_CmjPEo
This is were you find those templates: http://www.dekrantenkapper.com/kristalmal
And when you need some extra paper, find it here: http://www.dekrantenkapper.com/webwinkel/kristalmal-154

Another nice project is to transform the crystals into lanterns. Cut off the top, string a sturdy piece of barn through it and add a small light to each of the crystals (google for 'mini led-light').
You'll turn your camp into a magical place.

Easter!

Whithin a few weeks, on the 5th and 6th of April we celebrate Easter allready! That long weekend we hope to enjoy outdoors for the first time in the year.

We have a few adventurous plans lined up allready! All of them starting with a good and proper breakfast. An Easter Breakfast.
This year you hide your first eggs on the breakfast table in these cheerful paper boxes. For every guest a seperate box with a tiny present or chocolate eggs.
Our favorite are those sugar skinned eggs with chocolate speckles.

You can easily fold the boxes with one of our folding templates. They are available in our webshop: http://www.dekrantenkapper.com/webwinkel/kristalmal-154. We have designed a template for a piramide shaped box, a triangel and a square box.
You place the template onto a nice piece of paper, tracĂ© it and cut out it's shape to fold the box together. We have added two suitable sheets of paper to the template pack and you are always welcome to find some more in our store. For example a pack of pink and minty sheets: http://www.dekrantenkapper.com/pakjepapier

To finish this decorating job we have made a printable pdf-file with cheerful labels to add a loving note to the easter-boxes. Download the file here for free for you to print out.

Have a great time folding! We're dreaming of a refreshing walk through the forest after that breakfast.
We'd love to see your results! Tag your photos on instagram with #paasdoosjes and we'll be able to find you.

A brief report of last weekend, the weekend we were on Show_UP. We introduced a new shape to our family of temptaties, teh Gem Rock and proudly presented the new packages for our the temptaties.

Decorating this booth was a nice adventure again, and we enjoyed the complimenten we received about our work very much. Almost as much as the purchase orders we wrote down. A lot of new stockist can be added to our list.
We had a great weekend indeed!

Seedlings and Sprouts

Aaaah the sun! It's on its way we can feel it... only 26 days of shivering coldness to go and then, spring! Are you ready to sew? Our sprouts were born quite early this year for we wanted to show them to the public on show_UP. And for a very special reason, they illustrated the use of our very new products. A set of tools that come in handy when growing veggies and making jam.
The sprout labels (kweeklabels in Dutch) will help you remember which seeds you planted in that pot. And when those sprouts have grown into beautiful plants with delicious fruits you can use our jam labels to place on the jars you'll use for your home made jam. The labels were printed on gummed paper and will start to be sticky once wet.
And at the end of the season (we dare not to think about it just yet) what's left will be the seeds of the flowers you've grown. We designed a pack of beautiful bags for them to stay safe until sewn again next year.
We are ready!

Relocating

We are relocating! Well, Lotte is relocating, so de Krantenkapper is moving with her. We're heading for a light and spacious office on a new address. Ofcourse this is asking for some organisation, so we're taking a small break. We will take it slow for a while, our dearest mailmen are busy enough anyway during the holidays!

Behind a pile of wallpaper scraps and paint buckets we'll try to keep up with you as best as we can! But if a reply from us was delayed a bit you know the reason why!
We aim to be all set again on the 13th of January and promise a nice snapshot of our new space.

We had a very nice day yesterday selling our goods at the Swanmarket in Rotterdam. Thank goodness this market was indoors! We sold our monthly planners with a discount and don't want to discard you from that! So head over to our shop to pick up a copy of this very handy calendar with 25% off.

And that's it right? 2013 is almost over. We had a brilliant year again and are sure 2014 will be even better! (we're brewing up some very exiting plans!) We'll keep you posted!
And thank you very, very much for all the good in 2013!

Planning!

We can see the end of 2013 already! time for a sparkling new plan! And with a plan you'll need a planner, needles to say. Have a look at our monthly planner for 2014.

We dare to say that we are getting better and better at planning our tasks. But boy oh boy what a mess we make of it every now and then! But not this year,  2014 will be neat and properly planned, we're certain ;) Can't wait for January! for we genuinely think with this device we'll make sure everyone will receive their birthday cards and it will have us more then ready for those bank holidays.
They say planning is the key to spontaneous events. Sounds odd, but when you make everything efficient, there will be some time left! Hopefully ;)
